The Lazzaretto area in Milan is a vibrant neighbourhood that blends historical significance with modern urban life. Located just northeast of the city centre, this area was historically known for its 16th-century hospital for plague victims, from which it gets its name. Today, Lazzaretto is a lively district characterized by its eclectic mix of old and new architecture, with charming streets lined with cafes, boutiques, and restaurants.
The area is close to the bustling Corso Buenos Aires, one of Milan's most popular shopping streets, and offers a dynamic cultural scene with art galleries, theatres, and music venues. Lazzaretto is also well-connected by public transportation, making it easy to explore other parts of the city. This neighbourhood offers a unique blend of history, culture, and modern amenities, making it an appealing destination for both locals and visitors.
